Guess what folks? It is time to kick off the Gazelle wedding recaps!!
The week before the wedding Mr. Gazelle and I packed up the car and started the drive from Calgary through the Rocky Mountains. Luckily my parents had already taken most of our wedding projects and decor, but we still had a few important pieces to take with us…like some champagne for our pre-wedding festivities…and of course my wedding dress! We spent a couple of days at my parents’ place in the interior of BC before heading to Vancouver for a bit of a pre-wedding vacation. We only had a few last minute things to take care of (like baking the shortbread for our favours) but otherwise we wanted to keep things as relaxing and fun in the time leading up to the wedding as possible.
As soon as we were in BC the first thing we wanted to do was get our wedding license! With that taken care of it was time for a date!
We drove down to Oliver, BC – the wine capital of Canada – for lunch at Miradoro Restaurant at the gorgeous Tinhorn Creek Winery. It was a beautiful day to enjoy a glass of wine and the views from their patio. The food was also delicious! When we first got engaged we had talked about getting married at this winery but unfortunately they weren’t doing weddings at that time. We then started looking at venues in Vancouver and the rest is history…but it was really nice to visit for lunch on our pre-wedding vacation.Going for that lunch date was a really nice way for us to spend some quality time together, just the two of us. Things would get super busy once we would get to Vancouver and I enjoyed our quiet lunch.
Did you decide to do a bit pre-wedding vacationing?
